Decided to make this its own topic. Faction Leaders go ahead and make your own, but if I don't see something in a few days, I will make my own.


Mad Scientists
-

Description-A group of scientists that, for various reasons, have gone off the deep end.
They are classified as chaotic, because their goals and motivations are often random.
It might be galactic domination one day, but the next it might be finding a way to build a better
robotic toaster.

Strengths- Wire, ship building, various wacky gadgets.

Weaknesses- Single combat, and often gadgets will have a
major flaw that is revealed at the worst possible moment.

Additional Note
- For an unknown reason, a Mad Scientist will almost always try
to help other players figure something out if asked.

Examples
:Professor Hubert J Farnsworth, Dr. Frankenstein, Dr. Kleiner,Lex Luthor, Nicola Tesla, Dr. Demento,
Dr. Strangelove, Dr. Emmet Brown, Dr. Emilio Lizardo, and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.

United Alliance


Description: Protectors and defenders of the solar system. The UA will openly engage in battles that our allying faction may be in.

Strengths: The UA are know for their new technology and research teams. We specialize mostly in technology that may benefit to the destruction of opposing forces.
Such as detection systems and auto targeting defense platforms.

Weaknesses: The UA are not terribly good at proper ship design.

Solar Winds

Description: The plague of the stars, the Solar Winds are mercenaries by nature. While they pride themselves with unique technology, they'll resort to simple "brutish" methods of it means getting the job done. They sometimes form temporary alliances, especially if a job is involved, but remain an evil oriented faction at the end of the day, staying just under the radar.

Strengths: Unique methods of attack, heavily built defenses, and extensive knowledge of wire shared amongst the faction. Builders of the faction are known to supply help and even dupes of advanced weaponry to other members of the faction. A slow merc is a dead merc.

Weaknesses: Lack of a coordinated attacks and ranks (subject to change). And the tendency to screw around. Nothing is more satisfying than flying 10 laps around your opponent, before attempting a beam sword tea bag with your ship. Oh yes.

Additional Notes: While SW is primarily mercenary based, the faction is evil aligned, and will avoid those that police the galaxy.

The Consortium

Description: Power hungry corporation willing to destroy half a solar system if it means total control off the other half. Open warfare is avoided if the corporation's best interests can be achieved without it. Space is just another monopoly waiting to be taken. This is the corporation's goal.

Strengths: Top of the line weapon technology: Surreptitious weaponry as to avoid risking a pilot's life. Unmatched wire WMD. Custom weapons optimized by wire as to maximize control and success. Strong aircraft of all types including, but not limited to: Fighters, Cruisers, Battleships, and Carriers. Excellent ship design. Whatever the situation requires; there's a good ship ready to fill the empty space.

Weaknesses: The Consortium's weapons tend to create unwanted collateral damage.
